A liquid facelift is a planned combination of fillers, biostimulators and botulinum toxin that rebuilds facial support in the temples, mid-face, jawline and chin. Done well it makes a face look rested and lifted; done badly it makes a face look inflated. Planning is the entire treatment.
What it is
- Ageing is deflation and descent: bone resorbs, deep fat pads shrink and ligaments loosen. A liquid facelift replaces support at the deep structural level so the overlying tissue is held up rather than pushed forward.
- It typically combines structural hyaluronic acid, a biostimulator such as Radiesse or HarmonyCa, and toxin to balance muscle pull.

- Patients in their late thirties to sixties with volume loss and early descent
- People who want improvement without surgery or general anaesthesia
- Not a substitute for a facelift in significant skin laxity — we will tell you honestly if surgery is the better answer

How the treatment is performed
- Long consultation with full-face analysis, photography and a written plan with quantities and cost.
- Treatment in a logical order: structure first (temples, mid-face, jaw), then refinement, then toxin.
- Where a large volume is planned, we deliberately split it across two visits four weeks apart.
Safety
- Deep, supra-periosteal placement with cannula in vascular zones.
- Total volume discipline: more product is not a better result.
- Hyaluronidase on site; every product and batch documented.
Before your appointment
Stop blood thinners where medically allowed; no dental work for two weeks; plan a week without major events.
Aftercare
Sleep elevated for two nights, no heat or exercise for 48 hours, no facial massage for two weeks unless instructed.
Results and longevity
- Immediate change, settling over two weeks, with continued firming from biostimulators over three months.
- Typical maintenance is a smaller top-up at 12–18 months.
Possible side effects and risks
Swelling and bruising are expected; asymmetry, nodules, and rare vascular complications are discussed at consent.
Follow-up
Review at 4 weeks with photographic comparison, and again at three months to assess the collagen phase.

How much filler will I need?
It varies from 2 to 6 ml across a full plan. We quote the plan, not a single syringe, and we split large plans across visits.
Will I look overfilled?
Not if the plan treats structure rather than chasing lines. Restraint and correct depth are what keep the result natural.
Is it better than a surgical facelift?
Different. Injectables restore volume; surgery removes and repositions excess skin. If you need surgery, we will say so.
